America 911
America the beautiful....
The land that I love...
Oh say does that star spangeld banner yet wave
Or the land of the free and the home of the brave....
Words we so often hear, as Americans we are very proud of our homeland. We love our freedom and our liberties.
On September 11, 2001 our nation was mortified as we watched innocent people become the victims of a terrorist attack on New York and Washington D.C. Senseless cruelty toward our fellow Americans.
I as a Christian pray that the Lord will come to our side and help our nation in this unpeaceful time. God has always blessed our nation and whether the Goverment likes it or not He is with our nation and always has been. Even when we were banned from prayers in school and banned from receiting the "Pledge of Alligence to the Flag" in schools. He still extended his mercy on our country. But our Money - coins and bills still say "In God We Trust" Sounds like a double standard to me. Why cant we pray in school or use God's name in school - when our money says it. You dont become mighty and powerful if God is not on your side. The majority of our nation consists of God Serving and God fearing people and we have been trying for years to keep our nation that way. He is our one true protection. All the armies and weapons in the world would not be enough to protect you if God wasnt on your side. I just hope and pray that God remains in the hearts of Americans always that is the only true way our nation will remain a great power to be reckoned with. We as Christians can do our part during this trying time to keep our hearts close to God.
Pray for Him to stay with our nation and to protect his children.
When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
~ II Chronicles 7:13-14 ~
"The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident."
~Psalms 27:1-3~
